Copper Care Guide
Caring for Your Copper Vessel
Your THE CUIVRE vessel is crafted from 99.98% pure copper — a living material that develops a natural patina over time. A little daily care keeps it performing beautifully for years.
Daily Use
- Fill your vessel with water each evening and let it rest overnight (6–8 hours). This is when the copper's natural properties work best.
- Drink the water in the morning on an empty stomach for the full benefit of the ritual.
- Empty and rinse the vessel after use. Do not store water for more than 8 hours.
Cleaning
- Rinse with warm water after each use.
- Once a week, clean the interior with a mixture of lemon juice and coarse salt or lemon juice and baking soda. Shake well, rinse thoroughly.
- Do not use soap, as it can leave a residue that affects taste.
- Do not put your copper vessel in the dishwasher.
Patina & Polish
- Over time, your vessel will develop a warm patina — this is natural and does not affect its properties.
- To restore the original shine, rub the exterior with a cut lemon dipped in salt, then rinse and dry immediately.
- Dry thoroughly after each cleaning to prevent water spots.
What Not to Store
- Only store plain water in your copper vessel. Avoid citrus juices, milk, or carbonated drinks — acidic liquids can cause excessive copper leaching.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
- Keep the lid on to prevent dust from entering.
